Sun and Fun Day Camp will be in session Monday through Friday during the weeks of June 16th, June 23rd, August 4th, and August 11th.
Camp costs $300 per camper per week.
Sun and Fun Day Camp is for kids ages 3 to 9. Campers should be fully potty-trained and no longer need a nap.
Drop-off is at 9am at the Resurrection Lutheran Church (1050 W School St.). Pick-Up is at 4pm at the Hawthorne playground (across the street from the church).
Please email us if you are planning to drop-off late or pick-up early, so we can let you know where we will be.
All of our counselors are local high school students who love crafts, sports, games, fun, and kids. We spend all spring planning and preparing, so Sun and Fun Day Camp is an awesome experience for all campers.
Campers should bring a nut-free lunch and a water bottle. We will provide two healthy, nut-free snacks. If your child has allergies, please describe them in the health form, and we will reach out to discuss further details before camp begins.
In their backpack, campers should bring a water bottle, nut-free lunch, sunscreen, change of clothes (if you feel its needed).
For water days, campers should come to camp with their swimsuit underneath their clothing and bring a towel, clothes for after, and water shoes (optional).
Campers should wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for running and being outdoors. We recommend your camper(s) wear clothing that you/they will not be devastated if it is stained/dirtied.
For water days, campers should come to camp with their swimsuit underneath their clothing (don't forget to pack clothes to change into for after water play).
When weather permits, we have water days a few days a week at Margaret Donahue playground. We will send an email notifying you prior to any water days.
For water days, your camper should wear a swimsuit under their clothes (and sunscreen applied as always). They should also have a towel and change of clothes in their backpacks. They may also bring water shoes if they wish.
Sun and Fun Day Camp focuses on free play and child directed activities. However, we also organize daily art projects, group games, and a weekly talent show. Indoors, during free-play, kids can choose to do beading, coloring, self-led art projects, legos, basketball, games, imaginative play, lots of dancing and so much more.
We go outside twice a day if weather permits, in the morning to Margaret Donahue and in the afternoon to Hawthorne playground. Outside activities include sports, tag, parachute, playground fun, and whatever the kids want to do:)
We love to see what new games and ideas the kids have each session!
We do not have any electronic devices or screen time at camp.
Cancellations prior to April 1st will be completely refunded other than the $50 registration fee. Cancellations between April 1st and June 1st will be given a 50% refund. Cancellations after June 1st will have no guaranteed refund and will be decided on a case by case basis.
If your child has a medical condition or needs to take medication while at camp, please describe in the health form, and we will reach out to you to discuss how to best support your child.
Please do not send your child to camp if they are not feeling well. If a child becomes ill at camp, we will contact you to collect them.
We have several counselors who are CPR certified and trained in first aid. All counselors are high school students, but we have an adult on-call at all times for emergencies.
Please do not send your child to camp with any money, electronics, or valuables . We cannot be responsible for any lost or damaged items.
